Laura Taylor was born in Yuma, Az. Her love of animals started at an early age, as her parents always had dogs. Her Mother, Aunt and Grandfather were involved with Arabian Horses in various ways. She took western riding lessons for four years before getting her own horse at age 14. During the time she had her horse, she entered the competition for the Scottsdale Parada Del Sol rodeo queen and was named one of the queen’s two princesses. Laura worked as a horse groom at various farms for four years. She attended Scottsdale Community College before enrolling in Pima Medical Institute’s Veterinary Assistant course. After working in small animal practice for two years, she took the exams needed to be a Certified Veterinary Technician and passed. She worked first as a technician and then as a receptionist in small animal practices before joining the Urban Livestock team.
